Unit Activities for Small Group Instruction
Daily Lessons for Teacher Led
Small Group/Whole Group Instruction
Unit goal: Students read literary and informational texts about the stories of our past to understand how different texts offer unique historical perspectives and how authors sometimes alter details of history to serve a purpose. Students express their understanding by corroborating details of the past, deciphering an author’s purpose, and writing their own fictionalized version of a historical account.
Reading CenterThe reading center should be used as an independent work station. Students will be assigned work to finish from the Teacher Led Small Group, along with additional reading.
If you are unsure what you should be doing during this time, please ask the student leader in your group. |
